Flying Day With Paul Salter

WADSWICK TO LEOMINSTER

What a great day taking a flight in a light aircraft courtesy of Paul Salter, a fellow car club member.  This was the smallest aircraft I've ever flown in and what a wonderful experience.   So much learned about the checks that take place before you get airborne, and how the route is navigated with multiple back-ups in both digital and analogue format.   The route (circuit) took us from a small air strip in Wadswick, Wiltshire to Shobdon airfield, Leominster which used to be an RAF glider training school.

Our return trip skirted past the Malvern Hills and over Ledbury with great views of the mighty Severn estuary and its magnificent bridges.   An exciting experience executed expertly by pilot Paul.
